Day One: With the Fun Five

The start: New Delhi To Haridwar
26th of September

Oh wait, let me introduce you to us, The Fun Five:
Nuts- Me, with the famous mersmerizing eyes or Nashili Aankhe, a foodie and a smart ass crazy biker, tallest and craziest in the team.
Sukhdu- The ultimate challenge for all of us, she's beyond anybody's catch, totally adventurous, funny, seems like she's on a challenging diet, but no, she eats lots and yet just 100 pounds! And yeah, she also took up the title of the so called team leader, God knows who allowed her that! Lol :P
Moats- The lovely chubby teddy in our team, she's all smiles all the time, totally lovable, loving and caring, in other words, she was The Mommy of our team! PS- We share a deep sleep relation, her tummy often becomes my pillow! Ha!
Tanny- The Always-Odd-One-Staying-Out. This always happens with Tanny, the slow turtle, it's a mystery how she just disappears from the group and is finally back after a long search, the ultimate foodie, the source of revival for  the whole trip, you shall know soon!
Kaddu- This is our Highway (Wo)Man! Always enthusiastic, the food-looter, nothing in the world is impossible for her, and she's going to prove it now! :)

This is how we finally found our seats:

11 p.m.: And Tanny complained, "Why am I getting this seat?", and all of us knew how that had happened, we all had rushed into the bus to grab the best seats but our Tanny, the slow turtle was left behind to grab the last one, the least preferred seat! :P

We were missing something, yeah, cards and tidbits, Sukhdu gave a call to the chap down at the shop to get us a pack of cards, he asked for money and we all were sure that he wasn't going to return but to our amazement, he did, not just with the cards but also with the change!

We were hungry and had ordered pizzas for our dinner in the bus, as soon as everything was set, we all grabbed a slice each and within minutes the boxes were eaten clean the the bottles were empty, the only places filled were out tummies.

After the pizzas, we were full and needed to rest, but with craziest girls it's impossible to do so. We noticed that there was a pretty female just beside Tanny, she was alone and introduced herself as a French Prof. from New Delhi. As soon as we heard that, we all knew we had our own French Knight, Moats. Moats always flaunted before us that she had been to France for her studies and had learnt French eventually. Poor Moats  knew she was being put to test by the bad girls, but who was bothered about that.

This so called French Doctorate began the conversation with our knight:
"Hi, I'm Tanya. I've been to France for my PhD and I now work in India. So, you've been to France? How was it?"
"I'm sorry, I've lost touch with the language, it has been 3 years since I last spoke French, could you please come again in English?"
(LAUGHS)

Haha, Moats was so tensed that she couldn't recognize what tongue she was speaking, we all laughed our heads off and assured Moats that it wasn't her fault, the bus was at high speed and the rumbling noise made it unclear for her to hear. Lol :P

2 a.m.: There was a sudden jerk and the driver held a bell that indicated that it was a halt at a dhaba, Alakananda, and we had a mere 10 minutes to load/unload ourselves!

All of us got down the bus, damn, twas chilling cold and we had hardly put on a few layers. Moats threw up and was led back to the bus. We looked around and realized we were in the middle of the woods, a little away from the highway, where the dhaba often proved to be a lighthouse on the land for weary travellers to find their way back. The rest of us grabbed a sandwich and a glass of milk, freshened up, checked on some smart guys there, clicked a few pictures till the bell rang again and we all got back to our seats to finish the rest of the journey.
